RSS Staffing is seeking qualified Maintenance Technicians for a temp to hire position in Washington Court House, OH. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an excellent employer. Individual must be a self-starter, be reliable and punctual, and also understand that sometimes unexpected overtime may occur without notice. Individual must take pride in their work.

Pay: Commensurate with experience

Shift: Training on 1st shift, then transitioning to 2nd

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, rebuild, repair hydraulic cylinders, pumps and valves
  • Maintain air compressor, air tools, locate and repair air leaks
  • Troubleshoot electric motor starters, contactors, relays, limit switches and fuses and be comfortable with 480V 3 phase, 277V AC, 110V DC, 24V AC and DC
  • Preventative maintenance and inspect to identify potential problems and issues
  • Install, repair copper and PVC plumbing
  • Inspect and maintain building lighting and electrical systems
  • Cleaning and sweeping
  • Inspect and maintain lift trucks and able to operate lift trucks in a safe manner
  • Maintaining all records of the repair and maintenance works conducted in a facility
  • Reporting all defects and damages to the maintenance manager
  • Be conversant with all safety standards and procedures of working


Skills and Specifications:

  • Able to use basic shop tools including but not limited to: circular saws, band saws, drills, grinders, impact wrench, welder, multi meter and Able to read a tape measure
  • Able to read hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics
  • Should have excellent written as well as verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Must be physically able to perform duties that involve climbing, stooping, bending, lifting, and ability to work at heights 30+ feet, indoor and outdoor adverse weather
  • Should be a good team worker and have the knack of coordinating work with fellow workers
  • Posses a valid drivers license

Education and Qualfications:

  • High School degree, diploma or GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of experience as a maintenance technician in a factory setting or technical school with similar training
