RSS is seeking a Tooling Repair Associate for a facility in Columbus, OH that specializes in producing top-quality food containers and packaging. Products include plastic plates and dinnerware, paper cone cups, microwave safe containers, to-go containers, catering supplies, and compostable products.


Pay commensurate with experience


Employees must be available for overtime and weekends.

Training takes place on 1st Shift; permanent shift is to be determined. The facility is a 24-hour operation.


  • Basic manual machinist skills
  • Utilizes hand tools and grinders
  • Utilizes surface grinding dies
  • Can operate a milling machine, metal cutting lathe, and drill press
  • Repairs molds and dies
  • Verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications
  • Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts
  • Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together
  • Develops layout and plans sequence of operations
  • Must be able to work overtime as workload demands
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, including all safety regulations
  • Perform all other duties as instructed by the Production Supervisor or Managers
  • Maintain good attendance attitude
  • Maintain a good safety record


  • Works scheduled hours (possibility of overtime and/or weekends)
  • Stands and walks for long periods of time (up to 12 hour shifts)
  • Bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, twist, squat, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
  • Climb up and down ladders and step stools throughout shift
  • Lift to 50 lbs. throughout the day
  • Good hand/eye coordination
  • Multi-tasks throughout regular shift
  • Can perform tedious, repetitive tasks


  • Must be able to withstand extreme temperature conditions (hot and cold)
  • Must be able to work around paint fumes and cleaning products

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior working experience as manual machinist or tooling repair associate
  • Experience operating mill machines, metal cutting lathes, and drill presses
  • Ability to speak and understand English is preferred
  • Uses common sense
  • Maintains level head and thought process during a crisis
