RSS Staffing is seeking qualified candidates for a Customer Service Representative position in Columbus, OH (43207). This facility is a full-service public warehouse that provides storage and distribution to its clients. The company offers drumming/bulk liquid unloading, repackaging, transloading, rail services, labeling and bar coding, product assembly and electronic data interchange.

 

Position Overview

Strives to continually improve the quality of customer service by communicating with clients on a regular basis. Processes and inputs customer orders (both inbound and outbound) in site and customer WMS. Creates and monitors warehouse work requests. Monitors inbound/outbound material activity and prints order labels based on customer requirements. Traces shipped orders and notifies customers of all activity concerning their merchandise. Performs warehouse functions as requested, including opening and closing procedures. Runs inventory reports to check for product availability. Performs daily customer-specific reporting tasks. Engages with customers via phone, email or in person. Responsible for some filing and data entry. Greets visitors to the site. Keeps accurate records of customers' material while at site and in transit. Adheres to the site’ s quality and safety standards.

 

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7am – 3: 30pm

 

Pay: Pay begins at $14.50/hour.

 

Position Responsibilities

Follows attendance policy shows up for work on time and is ready to work assigned shift.

Prepares documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders, Inbound /Outbound

Manifests.

Examines records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify the accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.

Maintains correspondences with customers, including receipts, and invoices (if required). Documents all correspondences.

Aids in answering the telephone, resolving warehouse inventory discrepancies, and providing backup to the warehouse.

Records shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.

Works with other representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.

Resolves issues related to overages, shortages, and damages.

Schedules appointments.

 

Position Requirements and Abilities

HS Diploma or GED required

A minimum 2-year degree in a related field is preferred.

Must have a minimum of 3-years’ working experience in a clerical or administrative setting.

Must be proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Must have excellent computer and typing skills.

Must be able to interact professionally with our clients via email and phone.

Must be able to handle a fast-paced work environment.
