RSS Staffing is seeking experienced candidates for Thermoformer Operator at a manufacturer located in west Columbus. Immediate Hire!
Training pay: $15.18 per hour, with a pay increase to $16.35 once you work 720 hours.

6 months experience required

All safety devices and safe practices for assigned equipment
Good machine set-up procedures and practices including all necessary adjustments and operational balances to achieve maximum quality and productivity consistent with safety and minimum spoilage.
Quality and quantity of all production, produces by the assigned equipment.
Have a full understanding of all current Q.C. standards and procedures.
Perform required duties needed without direct continual supervision, promptly report product deficiencies to Q.C. and production supervisor.
Making timely reports on equipment problems, quality and spoilage variances and quantities produced.
Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the assigned areas in accordance with AIB standards.
Ability to operate industrial equipment and obtain certification within 10 days from date of hire
Ability to learn and operate thermoformers within defined specifications and without assistance
Ability to learn and operate auto baggers where present within defined specifications and without assistance
Ability to recognize and perform minor adjustments as needed to both the thermoformers and auto bagger without assistance.
Able to start up and shut down each thermoformer and auto bagger unassisted
Able to check oilers on trim press and thermoformers within first hour of the shift and fill if needed.
Able to perform a roll change with minimal scrap
Able to learn and operate microphaser control panel to obtain readings and make adjustments to thermoformers
Able to read instrumentation gauges to record " heat readings" on each machine at least 2 times during the shift
Able to weigh 10 trays (per machine) and document gram weight from scale at least 2 times during the shift
Able to perform quality checks (burning, cold cracking and registration) per roll document once a hour during the shift.
Able to perform " adjustments" to the auto bagger as needed.
Able to keep (2) rolls in position at the unwind stand to minimize downtime.
Able to understand and accurately complete required paperwork: roll log sheet (machine#, roll weight, roll number, date, bag size, product type, material used, sheet size, packaging count, tray weights) and product inspection sheet (quality check documentation).
Able to operate grinder
Able to segregate color and match correct grinder pipe to the proper silo when grinding
Maintain good housekeeping in your work area(s) at all times.
Able to work overtime as workload demands.
Able to comply with all company policies and procedures, including all safety regulations
Ability to follow Supervisor' s instructions/directions as given
Must be able to effectively demonstrate lockout/tag out procedures on all equipment
